A girl died in a car wreck at my high school when we were in 11th grade. We had an empty seat for her where she would have been in alphabetical order at every senior event.

Similar situation for my HS graduation. They even called the guy's name first so they could ensure there would be a brief moment of silence so the moment didn't get caught in-between applauses for other students.

I can't imagine the mindset that would have someone in a position of leadership take this stance and then double down on it so harshly.

fricking JeffCo.

Festus is the better of the Twin Cities anyway.

Just plain old mean miserable motherfrickers in this world. I hope that dude dies slowly and painfully in front of people that love him.

Wow, you have gone nuclear over a third-hand account. The odds are that there is another side to this story, but who wants to hear that? Just kill him!

All he had to do was simply take a piece of chalk and join in with his kids. A reminder to us all to not sweat the small stuff.

I am usually one that doubts stories like this are telling the entire truth. In our community, there was a girl who shoplifted on a band trip to Atlanta. A social media campaign said she wasn't punished - I know for a fact that the parents were called, made to immediately drive to Atlanta to pick up their child and the student was suspended upon return. But Facebook got a bunch of people riled up.

That being said, Ive done a fair amount of research on this story - it seems to be as presented. a-hole superintendent and principal.

Superintendents, principals, and teachers have gone to great lengths to irreparably damage their reputations. The medical field did it during Covid. The system of “educators” is exponentially worse. They’ve been doing this for far longer. It is only coming to light now. Petty little tyrants.

Here’s the problem. Everyone in normal Americana likes their local system

School systems are filled with people like this superintendent.

It's often said that a school board has one employee - the superintendent.

This is where the voters in that community need to rain down hard on the school board members. At the very least, show up at the next school board meeting and give them hell.

Here's their contact info.

Let's spitball here...what is a hypothetical situation where it would be cool not to honor a young girl who died at graduation and/or not allow chalk honoring her on the sidewalk?

The only thing I can come up with is that the parents of the dead girl were pains in the asses to the superintendent and principal so they didn't want to honor her.

But that still makes them look bad. I can't think of a hypothetical where the school is doing the right thing.

I’m not a fan of the FB/Twitter mob putting ppl and businesses on blast.

But, the FB/Twitter mob needs to put this POS on blast.

Bad PR is a powerful tool.

This calls for common sense. That blockhead principal and the superintendent evidently have none. What if it was their kid?

This is what happens when pieces of shite are given a little bit of power.

I'd imagine this is exactly how JBE would behave in this situation had he been appointed School Superintendent.

Honoring her at graduation would have been nice, like an honorary diploma or something.

When I was in college if you made it to your senior year but died they would read your name at graduation and award your degree posthumously, unfortunately there were always 2 or 3.
