I like when someone posts a nice vehicle and a trashy younger person asks if they can make payments.

I have sold vehicles on Craigslist and always start with an inflated number. People love to haggle and will never take the number I listed even if I put a 100% fair number out there.

I enjoy the offers for 40% below the asking price, but it's in CASH! I guess the cash is supposed to impress me more than a reasonable offer paid by a check?

This is purely a bottom dweller Tri-State Gulf Coast phenomena. I've noticed that people in Louisiana Mississippi and Alabama think their shite is worth way more than it is especially Louisiana And Mississippi. To make matters worse when they're buying something they always think you're selling it too high and want to pay 20% of what it's actually worth on the used Market in the rest of the country.
I say all this with a a lot of experience buying and selling on Craigslist and eBay. I'm in Louisiana so buying and selling on Craigslist is a fricking joke compared to eBay. When I'm selling, I get more money for my products on eBay, even if you include the fees than I do on Craigslist. When I'm buying I pay a whole lot less on eBay that I do on Craigslist. I routinely see people on craigslist in Louisiana trying to sell cheap arse Harbor Freight products at or within 5% of selling price of new.
In our area, if you really want to get good value buying and selling used products your best bet is in Texas or florida

What pisses me off more is when they cover the license plate with their thumb.
What the frick kind of info do people think can be stolen off a license plate? Do they cover the plate with their thumb while driving down th road to keep the public from seeing it?

They do not want people showing up randomly at their house trying to buy the car. It is more difficult than it once was but with some effort the address of the registered owner can be found from the license plate number. I have done it in the past just by giving the plate number to a buddy that is a cop.
