People not yielding on interstate entrance ramps

I've noticed this is becoming more and more common. There'll be a steady stream of people turning left onto the interstate and instead of people that are turning right yielding to this, they'll just keep going and stay on the shoulder until they can merge into the line of traffic. Sometimes I see them get all the way to the part where you have to merge on the actual interstate and they're still on the shoulder going like 25.

You dont really yield so much as you plan your merge
Dumbasses dont plan their merge til they are halfway down the acceleration lane
I start planning as soon as I turn onto the onramp

People are incapable of understanding 4-way stops. Nothing else surprises me.
ETA: From my time in East TX, you don't so much plan or yield as much as you just yank the wheel and pray. That's the only option when you have twelve feet of on ramp.

When I get on the interstate, I will be going as fast or faster than the traffic.
I fuss at my wife all the time. She is one of those people that will merge on to the interstate doing 50mph then slowly speed up.

Sometimes people are going 400mph in the slow lane.
Merging is an art, should be done offensively.
I do find myself doing it more defensively these days.

Yes!! It's like these people think it's your job to let them. I had a dude shooting me a bird the other day, because I didn't get over in the left lane and let him in.
Accelerate and blend in while getting on the interstate.

Yep. You need to be at highway speed or better when you get to the highway. It isn't hard.

Dude, you can't wait until the last minute. I plan my merges the night before.

I, 100%, agree that on ramp should yield.
However, there is a massive grey area in this.
In heavy traffic, on ramp car is gonna have to slow down and get in when they can
But, when there isn’t much traffic and the frick face, punk arse bitch in the far right lane sees and on ramp and doesn’t just get over and allow the car on the interstate to keep traffic flowing, the interstate driver, while in the right, becomes a POS

This. The moment I can see the traffic I start looking for potential merge points.

It's insane.
Some people actually believe they have the "right of way" to just continue to the end of the offramp and the traffic is supposed to get out of their way. I see people not even LOOKING to their left when merging all the time.

Mover over to the left lane so they can get in, a-hole.

I'm not talking about merging when you're actually merging onto the interstate, I'm talking about when you're at the intersection at the light.
Saw it at the light at Highland and I10. I was turning right off of Highland, a car in front of me just kept going and didn't yield to the people turning left at the light (when they had the signal). There was a stream of like 5 or 6 cars turning on and the guy in front of me didn't bother to wait for them and just went down the whole shoulder waiting for the line of cars to pass him

This, I have never seen.

No, there are people runner faster in the left hand lane and it will create problems for everyone. The dumbass that can't drive needs to figure it out, especially when they have room between cars to get in. Gauge the needed speed and blend in.

I’ve read this three times and I still have no idea what you’re talking about. What interstate do you drive on where you turn left and right?
Am I completely missing your point? I must be.
