Dude, the reasons you speak of, while true and will cause dislocation in the supply chain, cannot possibly account for stores running out of shite paper and bread on an almost daily basis.

Embarrassed for all of us. Albertsons had every single thing from bread to whiskey but not one roll of TP. They even had signs up that asked customers to take one per shopper.

And they were even out of tissue and napkins. People are wiping their asses with birthday party napkins.

For some some reason bread from Walgreens has an exponentially longer expiration date.

It does have that.

It also has the fricking media or do you approve of what they are doing?

What a fricking dipshit

I got two packs of the family size TP this morning. I felt like a conqueror coming home to my beloved capitol after a successful campaign.

We can shite like Gods for the next two months.

Ah yes the media, the bete noir of today's authoritarian. I guess the media is causing the panic in the stock market too? The media is causing the federal government to have ten different people say ten different contradictory things every day?

People and the markets are panicking because the plane is shaking, and the pilot just jumped out of the emergency exit yelling, "I take no responsibility!"

I mean, I've been through a lot of shite in my life, but I've never seen people freak out this bad. It's really pathetic. I can't imagine how people react if we got into a war.

This is exactly why people need to get back to work. You’ve got a bunch of nervous people with not a damn thing to do but listen to the news and run to the grocery store every fricking day to buy shite. I guarantee you that if these bastards were stuck at work they wouldn’t have time to worry about going out hunting for toilet paper and every other item that isn’t nailed down. The panic buying is ridiculous

Kroger near my house is well stocked and full of fat people like always. Americans don’t even know what a food shortage would look like.

I was pissed the other day when i went to the store to get some fricking KALE and there was none. There was barely any salad for that matter either. Kale is fricking disgusting (the food is for my kids bearded dragon).
why the frick are people stocking up on KALE?

My answers to shortages

Paper towels - hand towels

Toilet paper - wash cloths if need be. (We used to wash cotton baby diapers for eons before disposables came along. Society will survive)

Bread - this may be shocking to some, but you can actually make bread in your own oven at home. it’s true...as crazy as that may sound

You’re an idiot. Your mind was made up before the crisis. The President’s approval numbers have gone up over the last 2 weeks.

Almost.

I dislike Trump but what's really been going on is the plane is shaking and nobody can tell us for how long this plane will shake and if the turbulence will cause us to crash.

This is why the stock market recovered a bit after he said he'd like to see everything resume by Easter (which I intensely disagree with). Uncertainty is worse than straight up bad news.

Plenty of fresh carrots in the produce aisle. I’m not sure I’ve ever eaten a canned carrot. Are they better?
