Smoking in general is pretty annoying, but whatever; making a spectacle of smoking makes you a douchebag

agreed, it is annoying...pretty much the same as when some flick a can of dip and let their finger hit it to make some noise before grabbing a dip.

I smoked until I was early 30s, in high school I dipped. The packing thing with dip and smoking is usually something young people do. I work around a ton of smokers and dippers, especially the older guys,25 and up, and I never see them do any of this.

The smell of stale smoke and dip spit is far more obnoxious to me than any sound you could make with a cigarette pack or dip can. This includes whistling with the cellophane.
