Scooters?

Last time was about a week ago...got some bourbon caramel thing with butterfinger in it. The GF tried to convince me the other day to just get Scooter's for dinner.

It's good shite, but the line can be crazy in the summer and it's expensive.

Also, I think it's only a matter of time before I see this

I am not familiar with this sign you speak of.

Right in front of Xfinity is a bench. Right behind the bench is a tree. Right behind the tree is a light pole with this sign on it. It says that you can also sign up and use mobile pay.

There is another sign just like it about 50' up the street. Behind it is a homeless guy sleeping in the doorway. The doorway is to the green building just to the left of Xfinity.

Neighborhood looks a little sketchy to me. Probably not a good idea

Nothing says sketchy like a massive Whole Foods about 500 feet away from his door.

Don’t mess with those moms loading groceries into their BMW suv.

This bench, this tree, and this pole?

That sign says "Xfinity parking" with an arrow pointing down the block. That being said, exactly zero people will see it, and even if they did by then it's already too late.

ETA: Homeless guy hasn't been there for a few days.

There are signs in front of Infinity saying you can park there but need to put money in some sort of parking box.

That's Chicago street parking. Find a spot, walk to the nearest box, swipe a credit card and get a receipt, walk back to your car and put the receipt on the dashboard. It costs about $350 for 15 minutes. (well it seems like it anyway)

Chicago parking is harsh anywhere there's a hint of business traffic.

I don't get into Chicago often, and that's one of the reasons. I think Uber is very big there.

No. The green sign to the right, on the light pole.

It makes the Boot Parking, at $170, seem like a bargain.

I don't think so. They tend to come and go, but last summer we had a fat black homeless lady that we named Barb. In some of the FBD threads I was drinking beers out here, relaxing, and recounting tales of her peeing in a cup and dumping it out on the sidewalk next to her. She would also be up in the 4-5 a.m. range yelling nonsense.

She hasn't been back yet, but another guy hangs out every couple nights.

Ah, as mentioned above, that's the city street parking. You can park on the street for a couple bucks for a half hour. Definitely the way to go vs. risking it with the fellas in bullet proof vests in the Central Savings parking lot.

I mean, there are only like 2 xfinity stores in Chicago, and only one of them near Wrigleyville. Street view gives you pretty much the same view as his picture does, and streetview even goes into the parking lot in question where you can see warning signs and spaces reserved for Community savings.

I found it in 2 minutes without even knowing the name of the credit union.

Not to mention, someone a few pages ago linked the yelp listing for the credit union, which displays the address. Type that into google maps, spin around, and voila!

Somebody earlier linked the bank's yelp. That has the address.

How difficult is it to remove one of these things?

If you have a tubular lock impressioning tool, it's pretty easy. LINK

this thread has been a fun read

While I hate towing companies and “booters” with a passion, the whiny asses who can’t read signs are pretty bad, too. Gotta side with the boot guys here, especially if the warnings are as obvious as you say.

Too good not to share. Sitting out here eating a burger and drinking a beer, watching a car load of messicans pay their boot ticket. Dad rolls in with wife and kid, surveys the entire scene, parks right by ticket guy with vest, and parks next to them (his car is the silver one). Proceeds to grab his shite and walk into Xfinity. Immediately came running out but it was too late. If you're that stupid guy, I'm not gonna help you.

Man, I could charge admission to watch these theatrics.

Snotty girl, pissed about her ticket, takes the pink ticket off her window, crumples it up, angrily throws it on the ground to show her displeasure, and gets in her car to leave. Ticket guy calmly walks over, picks it up off the ground, and stuffs it under the hood of her car in front of the driver side.
