I don’t check my bag if I don’t have to….if I’m on a 3-4 day business trip I can easily go with a carry on roller…..regarding gate check….they have to physically stop me to get me to gate check unless it’s a puddle jumper and I’m 99% sure my bag won’t fit. I sure as shite don’t want to wait 30-45 min for lazy arse people to get my bag off the plane and get it to the baggage claim….that’s if they don’t destroy it in the process.

Lasts forever...

I've got a Tumi roller I've had for 15+ years, still rolls great.

Replaced just b/c I got tired of it.

At this point I only check bags if I’m on a nonstop flight. It is a hassle, but I’d rather have my shite I packed for vacation.

I only carry the wheeler (return to oz flashbacks) and a purse, though.

How do I know? I've been flying long enough to remember when you could check bags for free and the boarding process wasn't a damned circus.
the boarding process is a circus because everyone looks like a homeless person boarding. Carrying all their possessions

my rules to stress free flying

1. check your bag and travel on and off with only a backpack with one change clothes. Dont have to worry about lugging it around with you and fighting for overhead bin space

2. Always book decent amount of layover time between flights. Enjoy the down time.

i always wonder why someone would want to put themselves in a situation where they have to lug their carry-on and all their other shite all way across the airport in 5 minutes to catch their next flight.

Probably scared of a Biden cabinet member stealing their luggage.

Real men don’t travel. The only time a man should go more than a couple hundred miles from where he was born is to go to war

I'll never understand people not checking a bag. It's so trashy

Some of them are so effeminate that a VB bag is probably more appropriate

Checking bags is for amateurs. If you can avoid handing over your personal property to an airline, do it.

I travel several times a month and I always check bags. In fact, i check everything. I hate lugging shite around airports. I've never had anything lost or stolen by an airline. In all my years of travelling I think I've had one bag that didn't make the connection and I just picked up later that night. No big deal at all.

amen

I board with my wallet and a book. Everything else is in the rear with the gear, where it belongs. In any sane world checked bags are free and carryons are charged

Not to mention that what makes the boarding and unloading process so painful and inefficient is all the people putting their bags in the overhead and then getting them out before deplaning. It wastes a lot more time than waiting for your bag at the carousel. I wish airlines would just get rid overhead bins altogether. That would save everyone a boatload of time.
