It's the desire to be a victim, misguided people think that they can gain strength from a position of weakness by undermining the very pursuit of strength.
Not to be a Prussian homer, but Nietzsche called it and said this shite would happen. Also Marilyn Manson sang a song about it.

I would love for you to explain how cell phones have made work easier for the younger generation.
Cell phones have increased the workload of younger people today more than ever. When you went home from your scaffolding job, work was done for the day. Thats when you went home and got shitfaced and was off the grid until you went back to work.
Now when a young person leaves the office or whatever job they have, that phone and todays technology makes it so where work is never gone. Work follows people home now and plenty are doing work related things while you drink beer and make up stories on an internet message board.

Since when did someone saying something that hurt your feelings become such a big deal?
Maybe I'm too old and out of touch with society but anytime I'm offended by a statement I just understand that the person has a different opinion than me
It seems apparent in today's society that if you are offended by someone you can shout out and get sympathy because you were offended. You can even have a societal movement for being offended.
Please help me understand "millenials" how being offended equates culture change
You've come to the wrong board for that. OT'ers love bitching and complaining about people saying and doing things that hurts their feelings.

"Acknowledge, ignore, move on" is what I think we all should do instead of being offended.

I go out of my way to offend people who want to be offended. Fighting the good fight

Is there a right board? The Internet as a whole is like this.
It's dumb to blame just one whole generation. I feel social media contributss as because almost person has a place has a place to express their feelings to the rest of the world.

Doubtful.
Always funny to see those who whine and bitch about SJW's getting their feelings hurt post in multiple threads how Gary Chambers said a mean thing and they wish he'd die.
The lack of self-awareness in some is hilarious.

I am sick of it being treated like some kind of trump card.
Like someone says they are offended and that means everyone else has to jump through hoops to make up for it.
frick your offended. I am offended that you are offended.

You know you don't have to jump through any hoops, you're free to do what you like. Unless you're a recently unemployed college president, I don't see where anyone has a reason to be upset about others getting offended.

Does that include being offended by a football player sitting down for the national anthem?

It's funny that the generation that racked up trillions in US debt has the audacity to mock another generation.

Being offended is for people who have nothing better to do with their time.

I suggest that you insert the trigger warning at the beginning of your thread title because people naturally read left to right. Therefore, they will see the trigger warning at the beginning, before they reach the end of the thread title, and can then make an informed decision as to whether or not they wish to proceed.
Hebrew reads right to left. Why not accommodate them? It's because they're Jewish, isn't it? Antisemite!

That's the problem with this whole Kaepernick thing, the same people who say you should get thicker skin and quit being so offended are the ones who are outraged over Kaep's sit down.
Get the frick over it, it's a free country, he can be a douche if he wants.

A liberal wants liberty and uses the constitution as the guide. No where does it say that people have the liberty to be free of being offended.
