I agree. It irritates me, too. It irritates me that so many weak, impressionable people, desperate to belong, fall in line to join such a stupid fad. It’s like a grammatical tattoo.

Agree with OP. I first noticed this circa 2011 when females in my workplace would do it in meetings. I've been hyper aware of it since then. When you add that distinctive Kardashian type tone of speech the annoyance is multiplied.
