Penn increasing number of minority med students by waiving MCAT and only 3.0 GPA needed

“Some medical professionals have been critical of this particular affirmative action approach.
“The stakes are too high (life and death) to start lowering standards or taking shortcuts with basic fundamental scientific knowledge necessary for developing critical thinking skills to diagnose and properly treat diseases,” Dr. Diana Blum, a neurologist in private practice, told The College Fix in an August 19 email inquiring about the program specifically.

They have let morons in for a while but they just flunked out or couldnt pass boards

This is going to frick up minority student numbers for every major med school in the country.
When an Ivy heavily lowers their standards to get people from certain groups, they may hit their numbers but it will mean that other schools will be competing HARD to get black applicants.
End result will be lower quality of students ending up in higher tier programs, which isn’t necessarily a good thing if those students can’t cut it at the better school.
TLDR - Penn doing this will have a ripple effect on every other school looking to hit certain diversity targets.
The result will be black students moving up one tier or more to a better school while a lot of other students move to lower tiers.
The problem with this comes if black students at the higher tier schools can’t cut it in that program when they would have done fine at one they were better prepared for.

Correct, which is just legal segregation and discrimination. Progressives no longer believe in equality. They would love a true democracy where you have no rights.
