For the first time ever, I timed the market correctly as soon as I saw the notification from my CNBC app and sold all my PTON. But given that I had them in my IRA to begin with, maybe the joke is on me, but in my defense, we own a Peloton bike and bought into the hype
Perhaps someone has already commented on this, but given the fact PTON was a $166 stock a year ago, your timing of the market is horrendous.
Unless you bought PTON prior to April 8th, 2020, you’ve lost money.

We got one two years ago. The classes and instructors were great. Then, one day Jennifer Jacobs (their best instructor) left to start her own thing.
Then they got woke, started hiring fat and trans instructors, and got too urban for my taste
who is their trans instructor?

Exactly. The two of us both use it, though I tend to use it as additional cardio on top of going to the gym. $20/person per month is cheap as hell unless you’re comparing it to Planet Fitness, which is a joke.
I like using our peloton. Probably going to do a 30 minute ride with Cody Rigsby after work.

I sold mine months ago. This thread kind of has me missing it. After I rode my buddies I bought one and loved it for about 3 months.

They need to get their delivery service up to snuff as well. We bought one a month ago and ours was fine, but I've seen tons of stories about endless reschedules, bikes being delivered by third parties, and when they arrive having parts broken or missing. I think it is fine if you're getting one in a city with a store, but they just hire this out and two dudes in a rental truck showed up to deliver ours. They were on time and got it set up quickly, but for some reason they were from Atlanta and not from here in Birmingham.
Yeah, I had ordered one with an expected delivery date around 12 weeks out(what they were quoting at that time). Delivery date rolls around and I never get the night before call to confirm delivery, so I call peloton that night and they said yup it's on its way.
Delivery day comes and on the status up date, it said it was on the truck en route. But then day goes by with no delivery. Called Peloton, who said nothing they can do since they rely on 3rd party delivery crew. XPO says first their truck broke down call back tomorrow. Then next day they said they actually haven't received the bike from peloton, which peloton confirmed(why wasnt confirmed before then). Now around this time, peloton was quoting 2-3 weeks delivery estimates. After they failed to deliver, I was reschedule a month out and they failed to deliver again. After talking to XPO, they contract out locally here as well. So basically neither peloton or XPO have good control of their actual delivery services, unless you are in a location that Peloton delivers themselves.
So I just gave up.

If they're trying to shed the elitist image (a stated objective of leadership), they need more normal instructors.
Hire 5 more Bradley Rose types

I never understood their business model. I’m really shocked that they were successful for as long as they were.

I do like him. Sam Yo as well(he used to be a monk btw). Leanne is adorable as well.
Cody Rigsby is my fave though. Matt Wilper has to be the nicest instructor ever.

If you are on fb there is a peloton fb group called Boocrew. All big Cody fans. Great way to find out the best Cody rides to take.
