They better get on the stick with construction at Highland and Pecue. The I-10 off ramp is moving fast.

I saw for weeks the surveyors there. Pretty sure it’s gonna be a roundabout sorta thing instead of a light. Any word on what it will be and when construction will start?

Don’t even worry about it. You know the traffic is hopeless in BR, and always will be.

Highland at Pecue? Yeah, fill a few potholes, re-stripe it, replace the stop sign, good to go.

One dummy came down Pecu and went right into that pond in front of Valhalla. Drowned.

Constant wrecks there and dummies waving people to go against traffic laws.

It’s a roundabout. Part of the MoveBR plan.

LINK
Looks like the project has moved up on priority given the increase in traffic & accidents right there.

Oh good. Heard there was some pushback on it being a roundabout.

EDIT: actually looks like it’s not a final decision yet.

Wondering why they're putting a roundabout at Old Perkins and Bluff. There isn't much traffic at all at that intersection. What they really need there is an I-10 on ramp running behind that church to help traffic at the Highland interchange.

There’s an accident there every week. Looking forward to using that roundabout in 2034.

I haven’t heard about that one. Traffic backs up pretty bad in the evenings on Old Perkins in each direction right there.

I can’t believe there is no guardrail at that pond.

The intersection needs modernization now, but Broome built new sidewalks all over BR first.

MovEBR was on a slow road.

That’s a pretty dangerous intersection. My wife had a very close call when someone drove through the stop sign. We avoid it as much as possible. Like someone else said though, it’ll take them 10 years to complete it.

Right. And on the outside of the Pecue curve right before you hit Highland.

That intersection is designed like shite because it’s been there before Louisiana was a State.

They'll never 4-lane either of those roads so whatever they do at that intersection is useless.

I'm not mad a round about at Old Perkins & Bluff, but they at least need to add a right turning lane coming from Blue Bayou onto Bluff. There is plenty of room to do so in the corner ditch area of that church property. It definitely gets backed up in the evenings.

Wrong. A roundabout would be exponentially better at moving traffic.

Fun fact. Did you know that church used to be a house lived in by Copeland? Yup, Popeyes founder. He had horrible taste but he could cook a chicken.

The house looked 1000 times better with the original terra cotta roof. The church butchered the architecture with a shingle roof and the overhang entrance.

Probably from the owner of that big house on the corner of that intersection
