It's actually been the opposite. The rioting has decreased each night since Sunday as I've been watching.
St.Louis is calling you to let you know they had four officers shot at last night.

Proof, you’re a smart guy. Go out for yourself. Go to a protest. March, watch, observe, listen. You’ll see, that the actual organized protesters, you know, the ones with city permits to protest, police escorts, etc, are peaceful, organized, speak a message of encouragement and end without any incident. While you’re there, you’ll observe the antifa’s, that are helping to spark the riots. You’ll notice them quickly, most with their face completely covered, backpacks, you’ll even notice body armor under their clothes if you look hard enough. I know this because I’ve seen it for myself, and you will as well. You will see how the main crowd dispersed and another crowd shows up, and that’s when the looting, the riot starts.
my honest opinion: i don't doubt that there are people there only to protest and speak against rampant police brutality. but i also understand how our species works, herd mentality. when some protesters see that these antifa/anarchist types getting away with looting and violence, some do join in. we've seen it on live streams all over the country, it's not just "most with their face completely covered, backpacks, you’ll even notice body armor under their clothes if you look hard enough." doing the looting.
so yes, i'm happy to see fellow Americans exercising their right to protest. but to say that a lot of these protests don't devolve into destruction, chaos, and violence? That's a lie....whether that was their original intent or not.

We're still talking about a small fraction of people that are causing damage to property.
and what is the vehicle allowing them to do so? protests or are is there evidence of rioting taking place in daylight outside of the guise of protests?
then is guess my original point stands

When it comes to large groups of people, there will be factions of that large group that will use a demonstration to commit crimes, cause chaos/anarchy. That's inevitable.
What we need to do more of is singling them out and differentiating the peaceful crowd from the criminals. Generalizing the entire group gives them bad actors camouflage and even greater ability to commit their acts.

And there was looting in NYC and LA last night. I never said it had decreased to being nonexistent. But in MOST cities, the incidents have decreased fairly significantly.

In a stunning development, our office has learned that every single one of the St. Louis looters and rioters arrested were released back onto the streets by local prosecutor Kim Gardner.

quote:I disagree. If peeps are protesting without violence, stealing, or destroying property, they are protesters. There have been many many many protesters who are not engaging in unlawful behavior other than maybe being out after curfew or simply remaining passive and refusing to clear an area. In fact protesters far outnumber rioters and looters. With that being said I love those who riot, Loot, destroy property.
seems to be an increasingly grey area
