Not really.

I saw a couple thousand protesters peacefully marching outside my condo building a couple of days ago. A extremely small fraction of those people caused damage to property.

Just like a small fraction of bad police officers out there that misuse their position, there's a small fraction of these people that are using this protests to commit acts of crime.

Reasonable people aren't sitting around here blaming all police for the few bad apples, or saying that it's difficult to discern protesters from rioters/looters. Those all have different definitions in the dictionary for a reason.

if true why are businesses boarding up their store front windows and doors where protests are being planned?

And what a shame that is...... covid19 is bad enough but now that you can reopen you have to close because of certain punks in the street just trying to steal and destroy shite.

There’s no proof that the dog is dead, and the reports of the dog being found dead came from 2 people in Miami, not Memphis. So yeah, it’s untrue.

A small fraction of only 10% would be 200 rioters from a crowd that size. I believe they could create sizable mayhem.

Proof, you’re a smart guy. Go out for yourself. Go to a protest. March, watch, observe, listen. You’ll see, that the actual organized protestors, you know, the ones with city permits to protest, police escorts, etc, are peaceful, organized, speak a message of encouragement and end without any incident. While you’re there, you’ll observe the antifa’s, that are helping to spark the riots. You’ll notice them quickly, most with their face completely covered, backpacks, you’ll even notice body armor under their clothes if you look hard enough. I know this because I’ve seen it for myself, and you will as well. You will see how the main crowd dispersed and another crowd shows up, and that’s when the looting, the riot starts.

I suppose to prevent damage to their property. What does that have to do with what I said?

We're still talking about a small fraction of people that are causing damage to property. If you're only lens to viewing these protests is Fox News or some other media outlet that provides news commentary, it can seem like it's rampant and entire cities are being decimated. I'm looking outside as we speak and the city looks fine. My building's not on fire (I don't think).
