Yours truly just got ‘vid for the first time and it of course had to happen over a much anticipated long weekend. Managed to get my hands on Paxlovid this morning. If you did a Paxlovid course, tell me what fun I’m in for. I’ve read about the metallic taste and the runny poops. But tell me how long it took for you to feel better? Anybody get the Paxlovid rebound?

My wife and I got it several days ago. Haven’t taken anything other than OTC stuff… starting to feel better.

I was sick for two weeks with some daycare bug my kid brought home. Felt better for like three days and then got symptoms. Went to urgent care thinking that the cold was back and it turned out to be covid. Probably wouldn’t have taken Paxlovid if I hadn’t already been sick with something else for two weeks.

Ibuprofen works in 2 days and you don’t have to worry about anything tasting like pennies or the raging shits.

Yeah not in my case unfortunately- used ibuprofen and also some cold&cough meds and it hasn’t been touching it. I think mainly because I had been sick with something else previously

A rebranded antiviral medication Pfizer is using to continue to make billions off of Covid.

It’s covid less than 5 days anyway?

Covid hits everyone differently, but it tends to be worse for those with compromised immune systems.

Everything from battling some daycare bug to working long hours with little sleep can make you susceptible to worse and longer lingering symptoms.

Might want to read this:

NBC

quote:

Some Americans who take Paxlovid, an antiviral for Covid-19, may see their symptoms rebound following a brief recovery, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said in an advisory on Tuesday.

I did, which is why I asked about it.

There seem to be theories that a rebound occurs more in the unvaccinated or vaccinated who began treatment earlier on in their illness.
