Why is the word private in quotes?

It most certainly is.

Because there is an argument that the streets cannot be blocked off in such a fashion in St. Louis. They talked about the ordeal on STL Public Radio and one of the lawyers on there mentioned that it was his understanding that gated or not, you can’t keep pedestrians off the street. So I’ll just put it in quotes and it can be private or otherwise, because the point remains that if they had stayed inside, guns at the ready, no one would even know who they are.

Has the news been broken to the thread that both of them are BLM supporting Democrats?

I'm sure that was very balanced.

If it weren't private, the city had about 140 years to have the gate taken down. It's private.

I already provided several links that prove the street is private

No, there's not. Because it's not a public street. It's private.

You can when it's private property, to include the roads and sidewalks. Which it is.

Lol at you dumb fricks thinking this is home defense. They at no point were under any type of attack.

This is a couple of idiots that need to take court appointed courses in gun safety if they want to get their licenses back.

And at no point did they shoot at anyone.

Missouri's "Stand Your Ground Law" allowed them to do exactly what they did. I posted a link to a synopsis of that law earlier in this thread.

They didn’t shoot anyone either.

I agree that these folks are in desperate need of gun safety training. But I don’t understand how anyone can believe that first amendment rights extend to breaking down a gate to enter private property, while second amendment rights don’t extend to your own lawn.

I'm well aware of the law. You can't point your fricking gun at people like that unless you're going to fricking shoot them. That is basic 101 shite I'm sure your daddy taught you boy.

2a gives no freedom to pointing guns at people.

Now others are going to think this type of shite is acceptable, and the second someone accidentally misfires (thank god that dumb bitch didnt accidentally kill someone) it is going to create a massive 2A shitstorm.

You know what’s sad? If they had just stayed in the house without causing all this ruckus while still holding their firearms so they could, you know, actually defend their house and not their “private” street, all this would’ve been avoided.

They were outside eating dinner when they started getting harrassed. There are pictures of their wine glasses and food behind them online and they also said so in an interview.

Guess they went in to grab the guns and came back out. It's not like they ran out just to start shite.
