I see this morning that the rain forecast locally is up Fro 20 to 40% Saturday calling for thunderstorms and 90% Sunday and Monday.

I'm thinking we could see huge amounts of rain dumped

I expect the wind will be higher here as well. They have it predicted for about 25 mph here at this time, but where I live that means it will be 50 mph

I hope some of that rain makes it over here to the northshore.

Hope we get some rain in North La as well! Odd thing is it seems like ever since the liberals have been pushing climate change and the hurricane bureau predicting we are going to get numerous bad hurricanes to hit the US, every year, there hasn't been a significant one hit us. Even this one is going out of the way not to hit the USA. Just find it odd all together.

Crazy how a Pacific hurricane can intensify that quickly and that much. The water there is much colder than in the Gulf and Atlantic.

I think the El Niño event helped it strengthen, normally the warm waters off the coast would be pushed west by the trade winds, but that has not happened.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say many of the buildings in Mexico probably weren't built up to code, especially not something this strong

I'm pretty confident the Mexicans have some pretty strong homes ready to face this beast

Good. God. That is one nasty looking storm. Prayers sent to all in its path.
