Here is a good one. From past experience I would estimate those winds at the beginning at 70-80 mph.

Weather Channel just said that Patricia is the strongest hurricane in world history since we've been able to measure wind and pressure.

I can't think of many things I'd enjoy less than being caught in a f'n Cat 5 natural disaster in Mexico of all places. Could you imagine how bad that would suck if you flew into Puerto Vallerto Wednesday for a long vacation and this son of a bitch hit? That would f'n suck. Paying $6k-$7k to fly right into a natural disaster for a week with no way out.

I saw there's a couple from Louisiana there. The guy had a trip as a reward from his job. They're hoping they can get back home soon. Let's hope the airport stays intact.

Seems like they might be trapped there for awhile, huh?

Yep. Lots of OTers told me they're a very good idea for hurricane shelters

From Shreveport/Bossier? I got a message from my church saying some of our parishioners were stuck down there.

It depends on how big the storm is. If a storm is this strong Katrina or Rita sized then it's unimaginable. Far worse than Katrina. If this storm this size hit then it's not as bad as Katrina was. The one spot the eye hits would be obliterated, though.

Dumb question, but isn't Patricia bigger than Katrina as well?

So dangerous, so deadly. It is like a spiral of pure evil water. It will destroy homes, tear apart thousands of families, and it will truly feel like the end times for those who cannot get out of her way...

...but god dammit if she isn't fricking gorgeous...
