Exactly as planned

If that jib would have broke away it would have buried 30 feet or more. Damn near every pile I've driven down there the first 35' is free.

Yep, sure does. Great point, BTW. And should remind everyone that services such as police require taxpayer funding and when taxes are pissed away by your inept local government (who benefit from these and many other services) it puts a strain on the police, etc.

Has there been any mention of recovery of the two 'missing' workers? Yesterday there was mention that a tracking device had been placed on one of their bodies to aid in recovery.
Much less important, unless you were involved: have the musicians been able to recover their instruments from the Sanger orchestra pit, the Wicked crew their staging, etc.?
And the evacuated from nearby hotels...have they gotten their belongings?

Correct, and isn't the very last piece that comes down and lands right in the road the counter weight that everyone keeps saying landed in the building? I guess technically it hit the building on the way down but it landed in the street, that might have been what caused the hole in the pic posted above, hard to tell how deep it is and what it hit below grade. It looks like there were some kind of utilities located and marked on the pavement right where that hole is at. Just as planned

Right. And how quickly will those SOBs file bankruptcy and thereby eliminate to a large extent, if not completely, what they will owe countless people for this debacle caused by their gross negligence and greed? Sure sounds like (gasp!) SOCIALISM to me.

You’re an idiot.

Better question is which one of these developers signed personal guarantees with the lender on this project?

After seeing that pic and looking at the video again, that might be what happened.

Thet dug several holes in the street there the last week. Think they were searching for utilities, possibly for isolation.

They put the cars there to cushion the fall?

No, even better. They blew those cranes into a different city

I am confused, I googled that image and it came back to the Seattle Washington crane collapse, not from the Hard Rock Crane demolition. :dunno:

No, its the cab where the operator sits.
If the counterweight would have come down, itd have been a much bigger hole.
First, that isn't even the same crane in the same city. The URL says "Seattle crane collapse", you damned retard.

B, you can clearly see the counterweight go into the street on the video taken from Rampart.

I was impressed with their accuracy if it was NOLA crew.
