Well it looks like they'll go bankrupt and a new GC will take over the project. They probably had no business doing this build from the looks of their previous projects.

This is a dumb statement....actually, both statements are dumb.

Sure. But doesn’t matter. If his son said numerous times just last night that the building looked liked it was bulging, that is some extremely important information given the timing of this collapse.

It comes across as a jerk move to post that he’s taking it down, but let’s also not pretend the investigation isn’t going to be incredibly thorough and involving the best in the field. It’s an $85m project that collapsed on people. So it’s a long shot theat everyone’s going to be stumped if not for his sons random observation that he may or may not be qualified to make.

It isn’t in their wheelhouse for sure but it doesn’t seem like that had anything to do with it

If I'm not mistaken, that building's ground floor use to be an old "Woolworths" store many years ago when they were still in business. From the video it looks like it's on the corner of Rampart and Canal across from the Saenger Theater on the River side of Rampart.

It has been an empty lot for many years. Hard Rock (whichever developer) really started work earlier this year when there was a lot of pushback about the extent the corner had the temporary construction barrier up.

I can't tell if this is the start to you and Paul Allen going back and forth or not...

Also reported was a balcony falling at the same time, though a couple miles away.

Just shows how little I find myself downtown------and I live in Mid-City. I avoid the CBD and Quarter like the plague.
