Parents of the OT: How much do you spend on your kids' activities?

Soccer, gymnastics, music lessons, etc. I'm curious because I think I'm out of whack and my wife disagrees.
We currently are paying $222 per child per month, not counting needed uniforms/equipment and the such.

Does leasing them out to the textile mill count as an activity?

Honestly more than we can afford. But thank goodness for credit cards.

I wish it was just around $222 a month. It greatly varies to were you live and the competition level. Income levels also dictate cost.

frickkkk... My daughter is 3 and ballet alone is over a $100 a month! It's retarded... Then there is swim lessons which are $75 a month. Then gymnastics, that't $85 a month. All of that shite doesn't include all of the BS equipment and uniforms you have to purchase.... It's a rip off... But if my daughter enjoys it, which she does, then its worth it

Consider yourself lucky. I think we spend about $800 or so between the two kids I have with my wife, which includes tutoring, music lessons, basketball, and soccer. I also have to pay $750 in child support to an ex for a child we had together.

Wide range, do what works for your family.
You can pay $70 or whatever for the park league including uniform and season lasts two months. Or you can play travel sports and spends thousands on pro coaching, hotels, etc etc.
There is no answer to your question/dilemma. You and wifey need to decide whats best for your budget and family.

her school has a little book party every other Saturday morning where they read a book, do an activity, have snacks, etc for like 1.5 hours
it allows me to get a work out in

I don't want to know. The wife knows this and tells me $75 every time the cost of something comes up.

I was picturing 3 year olds sipping mimosas at Sunday brunch while discussing the subtle nuances that make "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?" so emotionally riveting.

like on extra curriculars?
Dance = $70 a month
Gymnastics = $68 a month
Karate = $35 a month
Soccer = lump so but comes out to be like 30 a month
so thats $203 just for activities not counting other crap they need or do on the weekends (area 51, movies, etc)lol

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck no
I do have a 6 month old that is one big breathing medical bill though
And since we are twisting knives in ourselves up in here, my 6mo old formula bill per month is $450

We just paid our yearly dues for my oldest daughter's gymnastics... $1800.00.
This is with a 25% discount for paying yearly instead of monthly at $200/mo.
This doesn't count uniforms, meet fees, coaches fees, and travel expenses... I figure we spend about $3000/year just for her gymnastics.
My other 2 kids are in advanced gym and regular gym for the tune of about $80/mo and $65/mo respectively
And then we have the regular recreational fees for baseball/softball/soccer
