Like even if the OP really has a 13 year old son (which he probably doesn’t), why would he think that Tigerdroppings is the place to ask for advice on this
Serious question, are you retarded?
Maybe because it’s a board FULL of PARENTS.

But I also have rarely heard of a 13 year old who has to get up at 6:20 am.
Ahhh so you are retarded. Good thing you deleted your extremely by all measures stupid statement.
Do you know any teenagers? Unless they’re not going to school they’re getting up at that time.

Then one day you’ll suddenly be over 40 and find yourself up and slightly annoyed that you have to wait until 6am for Home Depot and Lowe’s to open up on Saturdays.

my two teens bed by 930, all electronics off by 10. If the abuse it(i can check useage on wifi by device or check on their phone) i turn on back on the schedule for the wifi that turns all of their devices off at 10
Have had no problems with them. When my youngest was 7 and 8 sometimes I would find him with tv on late and I would jump his arse. He is older now and goes right to sleep

We didn't tell teenagers their bedtimes, HS is time for them to be responsible for that decision. They were rarely late, so I guess that worked. My daughter was an excellent student, she always went to sleep right after dinner, woke up about 3am, did her homework and studying until the school bus came. The said is she was up after dinner, she'd waste time on the phone with her friends.

OP, your wife is right, as you are saying the results prove it. Your kid is well rested at that amount of sleep.
