Anyone else feel extremely paranoid all the time? I pussy out of doing simple tasks because I'm absolutely paranoid something awful will happen and I'll get fricked over something that is not in my control.

Found a nice little apartment a couple of days ago and I'm supposed to go sign the lease tomorrow and I'm freaking out now because I read some negative reviews about the management company and noticed the that the lead conflicted itself and now I just want to do nothing. That felt just dumb typing it out.

And this sort of thing happens to me once a week over some stupid issue.

Over most things I'm knowledgeable, I'm extremely confident and decisive but all I see is the absolutely worst over any circumstance where I have to put myself out there under someone else's hands

I'm torn between making a smartass comment and actually trying to help you (this is the OT after all...). Stand by, I'll let you know how the internal debate turns out.

I tend to live life thinking that everything will work itself out.

Worst case scenario, I die and I don’t have to think about anything going wrong anymore. Best case scenario, I’m banging two chicks with a mountain of blow sitting on one of their asses.

Paranoid? if its justified its not paranoia. You have to pinpoint exactly your fears, what it is exactly that your worried about.

I know people who are. You just have to change your outlook on life. Stop worrying about the bad and just deal with stuff if it arises. Life is too short to waste on worrying.

I know that’s easier said than done but you got to just give in to the change of thought.

There isn’t a complex on earth that won’t have pissed off tenants. The good experiences don’t leave reviews online.

This stuff is like booze in pill form, minus the fun.

If you take Ativan you’ll be paranoid that everybody around you thinks you’re drunk.

Sounds like anxiety and OCD. OCD involves uncertainty.

1. Every event can produce a bad outcome. The odds might be 10,000 to 1 of it occurring. Getting struck by lightening or dying in a car crash.

2. Accept the uncertainty. You cannot know every outcome 100 percent.

3. Anxiety happens when we don’t feel like we can “control” the event or control other persons.

Medicines that treat OCD include, Paxil, Prozac, Zoloft and other SSRI’s.

Exercise helps too. Limit caffeine and simple sugars.

I guess. The building itself (condominium) has decent reviews. But the lease blatantly contradict themselves when it comes to some areas like utilities which could be deal breakers and could end up costing thousands more in utilities

I used to be very very very OCD. I. High school, I couldn't walk outside without taking a shower afterwards and couldn't touch most surfaces without washing my hands. I would check things multiple times (I would check to make sure the door is locked 8-9 times) and some other things.

I had other issues too with depression, etc in college

I grew out of most of it and I wasn't paranoid until the last 3-4 years where I would t even apply to job applications sometimes because I did t want to give out my contact information to strangers or go to websites I haven't favorited or been linked directly to previously. It's not bad most of the time other than I feel like I can't live life the way I want to. I desperately want to live simply and just not have to deal with most stuff and I have to keep doing more and more and more that I don't like and it's clutter that will eventually mess me up in some way

I understand your condition. 2 % of the population has OCD. I have taken Paxil the past 18 years to combat OCD. I understand your anxiety. Cognitive therapy can help if you can afford it.

I guess you could say I'm poor but I live in a major city and I only know two person who own in the city and those are two bedroom condos that cost 450k for less than 1800 sq feet. I don't feel bad about renting at all.
