Parade Rider Cant go

If the person I was going to ride with can't go to the parade, already paid dues and bought beads though. How likely is it someone else can ride in their place? When joining the krewe the forms says "non-transferable" so that's not an option.
Do they ID you, or is it pretty much they figure you are who you say you are since you showed up and no one is challenging it?

Just talk to your float leader or one of the officers. They are usually ok with it because they want the floats to be as full as possible.

Most clubs charge a substitute rider fee. At least the big ones do

The non transfer rule may have to do with the insurance liability of the group. They may need the riders name and signature for insurance purposes.

Depends on the krewe. Some actually require people to find a substitute if they couldn't be there.
