Oh lord I'm melting. WHY WOULD THEY REJECT IT?!?!?
Posted on 10/20/15 at 5:02 pm to TigerRob20
So what's the total amount of money we've spent study this shite up to?
Posted on 10/20/15 at 5:06 pm to TigerDeBaiter
it blows my mind how backwards and anti progressive this state is sometimes

Move back into Baton Rouge, then.

I made this in 5 minutes. frick them. Upgrading Airline into an "inner loop" is so short sighted. It needs to extend farther

Daniel says inner loop no address key issue: traffic entering Baton Rouge on I-10 Bridge.
doesn't sound like complete doom and gloom. sounds like they're looking to improve the one-lane split first. that seems like the right approach--improve the split, then think about the loop.
What blows my mind is why this wasn't item #1 on the RFP.

It's one big never ending DFL.

The cottage industry of impact studies in Baton Rouge must be fricking lucrative. They study plenty of shite all the time. Never act on it. But damn it gets studied.

Sure, no reason to deviate from the half-assed piecemeal approach we've employed on this stuff for the past 40 odd years now, is there?

So your plan is to send a interstate through the middle of the most eco-sensitive areas in the 4 parishes.
I'll sit back and see how that works. Dumbass.

I-55 heads through one of the most eco sensitive areas in the state from Hammond to LaPlace... what's your point?

It was built in the 70s. Little different climate 50 years later.

We should take a poll and see if people care more about "eco-sensitive" areas than they do their daily commute.

Unfortunately, those decisions don't come to a vote.

State would need $750,000 to review loop plans, Jeff Burst of DOTD says.
Like clockwork.

That particular loop plan was completely idiotic anyway.
