Jimmy V Speech from the ESPY's

Thank you for the link he had it figured out.
I hope on your dads birthday you have reached the point you can think of him and smile. I am sure there will be some tears but like Jimmy V said you have to be able to laugh every day.

As you know I'm just beginning my fight with pancreatic cancer. It's such an insidious disease. Thank you for helping me out. How do you keep hope alive? I worry about my wife as I waste away. How have you dealt with facing your own mortality? These are some of the questions I wish I had asked you earlier. Keep fighting, I know I am.

Have you contacted PanCan? They have a lot of resources and helpful information. My mother has pancreatic cancer, although it’s a non-aggressive type. It’s still bad.

Anyone who gets this disease has all of my love and respect. You are going through the fight of your life, but the Lord loves you, your family loves you, and your friends love you. Keep your head up. You are still alive. Savor every bit of it.

Keep your spirits up and dont let this terrible disease win. I saw my dad wither away from this cancer but no matter how bad he felt or looked he got up everyday and fought. Even though he was fighting a battle he knew he was going to lose very soon he was going down swinging. That was the one thing that gave me comfort through his short 10 month journey before cancer won. Just fight like hell till the end

I have not. I don't want to hijack her thread. I wanted her to know that I read it.

I did contact Pan Can. I worked for a California company that donated one weekend of their sales, annually, to Pan Can because the owner's mother died of PC. The Pan Can office is about 2 miles from my old companies offices. They are very helpful but unfortunately they couldn't help me with answers about continuing stomach issues. They are a great organization and I encourage anyone to call with any questions or requests. What's the worst they can say, no or can't help you!

Hey Ben I really enjoyed our talk. I am working on a couple of things so don't think I forgot about what I said I was going to do. Just waiting on some responses.

Also, I told Ben what a fantastic surgeon Dr. Henry Kaufman is (Lafayette). I know several posters know him or of him. Would appreciate anyone's input.

I will say a special prayer tonight for you and your love ones. Life on this Earth is fleeting and forever is still in front of you. God Bless.

We will talk about this next time we talk. I don't have all the answers but I can tell you what I do. Like I said ANYTIME you need to talk - call me. Even if it's just to vent or to talk about things that are hard to discuss with your wife. That can be hard keeping everything bottled up, been there - done that.

It scares her so bad. She just won't entertain it. Crissie is a strong woman but everybody has a limit. She's overwhelmed.

My husband (Kenneth) is the same way. I tell Kenneth we have to go by the old adage "Expect the worst and pray for the best". Not trying to be a pessimist or depressing just realistic. If I go past 2 years, just keep keeping on!
You are strong, keep your chin up!
