As an occasional gout guy, sounds like you have it. Mine attacks my ankle which I broke in high school playing ball. But most folks have it in the toe.
I take Endomethicin/Endocen (spelling might be wrong) and I only take two capsules and drink a gallon of water and go to bed as it makes me sick at my stomach and feel completely shitty. But when I wake up in a couple of hours it's usually gone or nearly gone.
Careful what you eat.

It's gout.
I get it too.
Fortunately only have 2 or 3 flare ups a year.
The pain is a bitch and it's always in the foot on the side of my big toe.
