Man, That was just me throwing out my personal experience. Not some polished piece. My daughter is about to be in high school and this shite...I know it has to happen but man do I miss my baby girl.

She'll get super moody and I'll ask her if she needs chocolate. She sent me memes that she meant to send her friends the other day and...I mean some were funny but when you realize your baby girl isn't your baby girl anymore. shite is hard.

I understood that it was somewhat extemporaneous, but it nevertheless is quality. I've known of songwriters/composers inspired to spit out an excellent, if not classic, piece within 15 minutes when locked in.

I've mentioned before that I have viewed my experience as a single dad to have been very different and surreal in many respects. I envisioned having a son to train as an athlete, but had a daughter with an IQ in the "profoundly gifted" range. It seemed she flashed through childhood at the speed of light. By age nine tested at the level of a young adult and refused to sit at the kids' table at Thanksgiving. My concerns included: that she did not have peers her own age to interact with socially and felt abnormal (she said until she was around other doctors); that she would fall into an unrealistic pursuit of perfectionism; and that she would be a target of kidnapping due to also being physically beautiful. Took her college entrance exams and started going to classes at a university at the age of eleven. Like where did my little child go so quickly?

Don't know why you let something like that bother you. Especially if that's the reason someone says that. That person's opinion doesn't matter.

And I don't see why anyone would be embarrassed about buying tampons. I used to go to the store and buy them for my sister back in high school after my mom died.

It's not a big deal. If you're embarrassed by that then you need to grow up

It is difficult. As the Kenny Chesney song goes 'don't blink'.

As another poster stated 'grandbabies are the BEST'!

When this came out almost 30! Years ago, I thought it was cheesy and lame.

Now I'm wondering where all the dust and onions are coming from.

Mine is 17
Days are numbered

I think about it more and more esp since hs grad and college conversations seem to be the norm around my house.
Sucks.

I often wonder how 17 years went by so fast.
