I have all girls. Each is different m, but let them be them and love them equally. I have one that probably will be a Div 1 athlete that has love sports since she could walk. I have another that’s the princess, cheerleader and diva. The third is just her. Just her and that’s all the world can handle. Be affectionate with them because that builds trust with them like any other women and DONT be a helicopter Dad.

To add to this since my oldest was a baby I had this entire “bad boy” scene planned for the first boy that she dated. Well that day came. Waiting on the driveway for him to arrive he gets out his parents truck clean cut on the country side walks straight up to me and introduces himself. Calls me Mr and look me dead in the eyes and shook my hand with a man grip. All those plans flew out the window but I realized in that moment I’d raised my daughter right.

A life’s worth of hard work payoff. Well done!

Girls are better than boys. I have both. The girl is always a helpful joy. The boys are good polite but won’t slow down to help. You gotta be harsh to get thru to their thick head.

Kindness and Patience . When they go through a rough patch hold your tongue. I wish I would have followed this advice with my oldest. Don’t be like me.

Let mom handle the teen years significant discipline issues, she knows those emotions better than you and when to crack down. Then back her up.

Two boys two girls four granddaughters. I don’t tell my daughters when I have even a slight cold b/c they’ll drop by unnecessarily just to see how I’m doing. The boys: Doing ok? Yep. Ok, later.

Otherwise, their every wish is my command. I’m overdoing that with the little ones.

My prerogative as a father and grandfather. All my kids are all terrific people but the daughters are Daddy’s little girl to the end.

My 9 yo had her first "woman time" on Christmas Eve and took it in stride better than my wife did.

Boys can be spoiled by you making things too easy. Not so with girls. They are more expensive.

Agreed. Start them in soccer. Toughens them up and keeps them in shape so less social issues.

Spend as much time as you can.
If she wants to give you a facial, let her do it, mask and all. It won’t hurt anything and it will mean everything to her.

Your balls won’t shrivel up and your chest hair won’t fall out.

Ball up and let her do it.

When she gets old enough and you decide to get her a trampoline, use a star pattern to attach the springs to the mat. If you go in a circle, you’ll need a tractor to have enough strength to attach the last few springs.

Just be there so she's not out looking for a "dad replacement" at 15.

Think Dr. Phil says this. So it annoys me, but is spot on. Lol

Really, while they are expensive as hell and a time suck, they call all be good for your daughter. I will say dance/cheer/gym have darker sides and have a high number of shrill harpies and toxic parents.

Before age 12, girls are sweet and boys are dumbasses.

After age 12, girls become giant c****s and boys are still dumbasses but now more fun to hang out with.
