That's my thought as well. One thing people should know about our government is they are not to be trusted. I'm not saying that I think all numbers reported are bullshite, but when you do the research on some of the crooked shite they've done in the past, it shouldn't surprise you that stuff like that is still going on today. I'm not a conspiracy theorist nut, I'm just talking about some of the things that have been proven.

Americans have become too reliant upon our government, and that's a scary place to be.

The CDC changed their policy on April 14th to include presumptive and probably cases in the Covid case and fatality numbers and most of the tracking websites followed suit. New York added almost 4000 deaths on that day from nursing home patients who had died without being tested. I'm sure the additional toll is much greater by now. Kind of makes me wonder how many nursing home patients are dying from traditional old age diseases these days.

So "flattening the curve" is now kind of a useless term because "the curve" is made of separate datasets (hard count vs estimates) and criteria that are likely being applied differently around the country. And it also means that comparing data from one country to another is more difficult, maybe impossible.
