Push all you want, you can't outwork a bad diet.

Well, best of luck to you.

First 2 days are in the books. Already a little sore from what I thought were 2 effective workouts (synergistics, agility x).
Sabi and DrTyger, do you guys count calories? Or do you just know how much to eat? I've never counted calories since I feel I mostly eat healthy (although I am going to be stricter now that I am starting X3).
For example, yesterday I ate:
Breakfast: 2 egg whites scrambled, 2 strips turkey bacon, small bowl of blueberries
Snack: NuGo Slim Protein Bar (190 calories)
Lunch: Vanilla shakeology
Snack: Apple with peanut butter
Dinner: Turkey burger, lettuce, tomato; Edamame
Snack: Almonds, cashews, raisins (2 handfuls)
Any idea of how many calories that would be? I could probably go back and figure it out, but I'm guessing you guys are so good that you can ballpark it immediately.

I am finding this out the hard way...by experiencing it. In process of changing my nutritional habits, but the discipline it takes!
From the Challenge and Total Synergistics over the weekend, my biceps are sore. Not injured, sore. Pushing thru with Agility X today, my 3rd week of P90X3.

Interested to see how it is going to work out because I push myself very hard, and refuse to change my eating habits

How were your results from X3? Better or worse than you thought? Also, do you think you got as much out of it as the original P90X (assuming you've done that as well)?
Curious to hear your answers since I am just starting X3.

Started week 2 yesterday. I can't wait to hit my arms big time in week 5.

I only count calories when I have a strict goal to acheive, like losing or gaining weight. The last time I did was on Body Beast because I had to make sure I got to 3300 Calories a day. Now, I like the weight I'm at and don't mind if I fluctuate +/- 5lbs after following and logging food for so many rounds of various workouts I have a pretty good understanding of what I need. I just make sure to make healthy choices and in good portions.
For someone like you though with a specific goal in mind it's very important to keep track of everything. Use the X3 guide, it has an all portion control option with no calorie counting. If you insist on counting calories, I use the MyFitnessPal app on my phone.
After a quick glance at your food from yesterday, I would say you're probably not eating enough, which believe it or not, can actually be counterproductive to your results.
ETA: I calculated that all out, and all that food is only about 1500 calories. Maybe a little more. You likely should be getting about 600-1,000 calories more than that in a day.

Guess it was just a day delayed.
Good to hear.

Yeah, it's definitely not enough. I actually need to eat more.

Well, then eat. Just make healthy choices.
Remember, It only counts as roughly 1 protein or 3 vegetable servings.
ETA: I had mine this morning with 8oz of egg whites, a banana, and almond milk.

My diet consists of no breakfast, sandwich or poboy for lunch, and a very big dinner. I also mainly drink water and whole milk with probably one to three cherry cokes during the week.
Eating breakfast makes me feel like shite, and I don't get hungry until like 2 or 3. I am busy with tests the beginning of this week, but am going to start running later in the week. Hadn't run for 10 years before that jogging class, and that was 2 years ago. Starting pt is gonna be 1 or 2 miles every other day and body weight exercises the other days. I am optimistic because my body changes quickly. I am pretty sure most of my weight is water weight because I can gain or lose 5 pounds over 2 days

Only two meals? That sucks. You might as well call the coroner if I don't get any breakfast.

I like X3 alot because it is only 30 minutes a day. With that said, some of the moves on some of the workouts do nothing for me and I wish they would have been harder. Dont get my wrong the pushups and pull up stuff was hard for me, but some of the moves in triometrics or agility x are just stupid and a waste of a workout. I lost probably about 10 lbs of fat and put on about 5 lbs of muscle during X3 ( I was already in decent shape). I hope to start eating very clean here soon and get rid of the 5 lbs of belly fat that i need to be shredded.

My dinner is very big, so it holds me over until lunch the next day. I am basically in a coma for an hour after I eat
Ex:
1 box of shells and cheese
1 small can of peas
1 large pork tenderloin/chicken breast/steak
