Oxford comma

My co-worker refuses to use it. Whenever I ask him to proof a document for me, he always takes them out. It never fails.
Alternatively, I always use the Oxford comma. Needless to say, the two of us are at an impasse.
What's your stance on this?

I'm adamant upon its use. I also subscribe to the rule implemented by our dear friends from across the pond and put a comma outside the closed quotation marks.
