Ruth's Chris is awesome. If you like Filet, that's probably my favorite.
Supper Club in BR does it the same way, and it's awesome to. But you'll spend $100 on cocktails there.

True.
They are opening a new Bob's on 121 soon closer to my house, look forward to trying it out.
Some of the best steaks I have had is Texas out on PGBT East of US75. Not that fancy a place, but was started by the guy that started Del Frisco.

Dale Wamstad, also known as “Del Frisco,” is the sole founder of two iconic, nationally recognized steak houses. Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse was founded in 1980 and III Forks in 1998. Dale and family currently operate a steak house in Richardson, Texas... called TEXAS.

Dale and his wife are there sometimes and come by and hang out with you. Was there onetime and she just made up a batch of her banana pudding, so good.

I never even go out for steak anymore unless it's on someone's business expense account. The restaurant prices for beef at any good steakhouse have just gotten completely stupid. I can get prime beef at the butcher that is close to the quality of restaurant prime beef and cook it close to as good (if not better) at home for less than half the price.
Hate going and dropping $400+ bucks on a steak dinner for two and leaving thinking that was good but not really any better than steak at home.
When we go out to eat its to get stuff that we don't know how to cook, can't cook as well. Usually ethnic food.

there used to be a hole in the wall place between Little Elm and Denton, when I first stumbled across it it was in the middle of nowhere, kind of a hokey western themed place but they did an awesome job on steak, don't know if Covid kilt it or not, haven't been out that way in years

Not that great of a steak
I find their consistency can vary from location to location.
I've eaten at many of the "best steakhouse ever" type places around the country, and Ruths in BR puts out a comparable steak or better. Now it doesn't have the atmosphere you can find at other places, which is big for some people, but I'm just comparing food.

As someone who works in O&G and has probably been to 90% of the steakhouses in Texas and Louisiana this is the first time I’ve seen someone claim that Saltgrass is just as good as Ruth’s
There are definitely better options in a city like Dallas but Saltgrass ain’t it

You haven’t lived until you throw hands at the Odessa Cork N Pig.

Luckily if you get kicked out of there you can walk over to the Saltgrass next door

Or you all can accept Ruth's Chris being taking over by Darden is not really a thing.
Much better steaks to be had.

Even better, you can make a pass by Cavendars and pick up some fresh FRCs between stops. It’s the ultimate baw setup.

I never understood going to ruth's when you could easily have a steak at sullivans for the same price and it's 15x better.
Posted on 5/4/23 at 9:00 am to redstick13
That strip is like Las Vegas after you’ve been in some dump like Jal for a month

Lies. Saltgrass is not supposed to compare to Ruth's Chris, but it can soemtimes and that is sad. I never left Ruth's Chris thinking, that is the best damn steak ever.
I have left the old Traildust (not there now) that was on I35 and thought I had the best steak ever, so maybe my opinions are messed up
