Overuse of Word Literally

Some people literally cannot communicate without using the word literally. Catching up to word like.

Figuratively speaking, the meaning and usage of words can change.
Peruse used to mean to read in its entirety. Nice meant someone was stupid.

I’ve mentioned this several times on various boards. I just get bombarded with downvotes so I’m obviously part of the very small percentage who doesn’t conform to the latest “in” things and/or sayings.
