there will be zero reason to close any school. The f you wanted to be uber conservative you could take in at 10 and suspend bus routes

All it takes is for one weather related school bus accident, and you've got 60+ lawsuits on your hands that will be settled at great expense to the school system.

Are you just willfully ignorant? Do you realize an accident can happen at any time? Quit offering them rides if its that much of a liability.

You people only want to pull the safety card when its convenient. School buses run in inclement weather all over the country, but let THE THREAT of WINTRY MIX- not a blizzard, not significant snow accumulation, not ice on the roads- get mentioned in SLA and the school systems shite themselves. Same as they do when bad thuner storms are in the forecast. "Oh no, its gonna rain and the winds gonna blow. Shut the schools down".

if yall panicked half as much about the poor test scores, failure rates, and lousy educations public school students actually get in this state, you moght have some credibility.
But yall don't get an extra day off for that, so nevermind, right?

You're amplifying your ignorance now.

I don't pull any card. I comply with the decision that the superintendent of my district makes. What do you mean "you people"?

no I'm not. If the threat of an accident is your excuse, you need to quit bussing children to and from. MOre kids are run over by the bus driver and killed in singular events, then are hurt in accidents involving multiple students.
Do the school buses quit running in the northern states when snow falls? NO. Are school bus accidents commonplace in these states? NO.

Its just an excuse school systems sight because "safety of the children" is an emotional appeal that resonates with most every parent and you know most people wont argue the merit of it. I am. I think you guys are full of shite and just want another excuse to not go to work.

educators, school systems, schools system bureaucrats, school boards, school board employees, bus drivers, janitors, PE coaches, teacher's aids, the guy who supplies the school with paper towels.

did I miss anyone?

If you're really from Erwinville, I can understand why you are so miserable. It's a possible school cancellation due to weather. What great harm is it causing you? Are you actually going to have to put up with your own kids for a few extra hours?

there it is. The ad hominem attack when you have nothing else to offer. Typical.
Sad thing is, you're a part of the system that continues to hinder students in their effort to better themselves and reach their full potential. Guess they can go work for the school system too, huh?

on a positive note, they'll get plenty of time off.
