Have about 250 SQ feet to cool in my outdoor patio. Looking for option outside of a window unit, anyone have a recommendation of a portable A/C unit or similar 300 or under?

My slave usually just fans me a little faster when it heats up outside

well to start off that is a dehumidifier NOT an air conditioner.

dehumidifiers "condition" the air so the product descriptions can be confusing sometimes. dehumidifiers cool the air but they aren't a/c units

if it doesn't say its an a/c unit and list the BTU capacity then it isn't one, try looking at something like these LINK

Yeah, those misters work great if you live in Phoenix. Here, not so much.

That's not a dehumidifier. It's an evaporative cooler and actually introduces moisture into the ambient air.

How loud or those things? Without knowing anything about them, I'm assuming they're a lot quieter than they look.

Depends on what size you get. Just like a fan I think it just becomes background noise after awhile.

Do you have any walls, or 4 sides open? Whatever you do to cool the air isn't going to do crap if all open. You just need a good fan.

Kickstarter date for this AC keeps changing I think. I don't know how Kickstarter works. Don't know if they'll ever happen, but I'd like to own a couple of 30 pound, 5000 BTU air conditioners.

Pulled out all of the screen windows and replaced with real windows. Area is enclosed and looking for a serviceable A/C unit.
Nothing too expensive since we hardly host people but something manageable for us.
