Won't work in La. Will work great where there's a very low wet bulb like in Phienx.

Get one of the big arse fan smaller home models and put it out there. They move a tremendous amount of air

Explain? I called the A/C people and they want to charge 3k to run an extra vent to the room since they have to cut through the roof.

Sun an issue? Hopefully not a lot of exposed glass.

I'd go with a ductless minisplit sized properly or a packaged window unit.

Hopefully you insulated the walls and roof. Live in La?

If so I'm not an engineer but you may need a ton of AC with all that glass.

Ceiling is insulated, wall was too thin to do since we only added to what was already in place.

Well of course, my beer fridge, a stove, an outdoor grill, and a fireplace are set back there. Hanging my TV next weekend.

Not good if you want things cool.

You'll need at least a one ton IMHO.

Lots of glass, poor insulation, west exposure, 250 square feet.

Yes and we are not talking all the time cool, just when we want to sit out and when we host people. So maybe 50-60 times a year.

Doesn't make a difference, in fact hosting people adds to the load as does cooking, refrigerator, etc.

A window unit may make more sense but damn they look trashy

And you'd need a big one and it would be loud.

Ductless minisplit would be good.

I have a large one from my parents who bought it after the flood. However, I just don't want to use it because of the dripping

Guess you didn't read the Q&A. Will not work around these parts. That is NOT a AC

I have a portable ac that I use on my patio outside that I direct toward our glider and makes it bearable during the summer to sit out and have drinks.I got it on amazon for about $350. I also use it when we have a storm that knocks out power. I plug it in to my generator and just roll it in to whatever room we are in.
