Yeah , spiders are notorious for NGAF about the social contract. There is a foot bridge by my home that I just won't take at night or early morning because of the sea of cobwebs. The spiders know this - crafty bastards . You just can't trust them even after that clever "Charlotte's Web" disinformation campaign. That worked for 25 years . They got one over on us.

I was driving the other day on a 2-lane road, and a car was approaching from the other direction. I saw a dead squirrel on my side and knew I had to hit him because the car was in the other lane, but I was okay with it because he was already dead. Right before I hit him, his little body started moving. I guess the little feller had just been hit.

At that point, it was too late for me to avoid hitting him. I guess I put him out of his misery, but still! So sad!

I had a thrill seeker in may run DOWN the road in front of me for about 20 yards instead of across the road

Bet he said, "here hold by acorn" to his buds

It's so weird when they're on the side of the road safe, then they see you coming and feel like they have to run across the road to safety. Just stay put, little guy!

Reminds me of the Great Fly War of '93. My victory was bloody and decisive.

had one of them from the yard trained to come up and eat pecans out of his hand. Eventually, I was doing it too. Feeding the squirrels, that is.

You need a "web stick" that you can just wave in front of you as you walk.
