Your latest post a distillation of a purely Southern trait: Can’t handle an objective evaluation by a national scout. Sad. Feels he left some meat on the bone by never maximizing his own potential. Doubles down on parochial “characteristics” forged by his ancestry to cobble together some semblance of identity. But this is a hollow husk. And the “southern man” continues to remain a complete unknown. Primarily to himself. Anyway… wanna kiss on the mouth?
More lame ad hominem attacks directed at Southerns and now me personally. It’s sad when someone is such a loser the only way they can feel good about themselves is by putting others down.

Why not? Raoul is pretty much using a paraphrasing of Neil Young.

He’s not worthy of wasting a Skynyrd quote. Just a sad little message board troll.

In my experience, people in the south shite talk the rest of the county more than anywhere else. They also like to boost themselves up, more chest thumping, which likely is an indicator of low self esteem.
It’s probably because y’all are self conscious about being inferior, ultimately.
Sad.
You haven't been around many Northeasterners then. Hang around New Yorkers, Jersey and Philly people for awhile. They never hide their dislike of the South, much of it based on ignorance and stereotypes. The Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine types are very snooty and condescending as a general rule.

Yankees won so they think they are better than us. Well yeah in a war footing at that particular time they were better but that’s it and things have changed since then.
Basically, frick em and what they think about us.

It wasn't post civil war the North always had a idea of superiority over the south because ,,even before the Revolution
New York
Boston
Philadelphia
Baltimore
DC was equal parts
The charm of the North the efficiency of the South
the Gilded Age was the high point for the North
South started catching up economically after WW2
and the South pased the north in the 70s

I grew up in Shreveport. Lived 3 years in lake Charles. I never hurled an insult at people in south La. But, I have scoffed at and called a Yankee many times by south La folk. I love south La. But yall need to tone it down a little.

Ironic when five of the first seven Presidents were Southerners.

I think a lot of that had to do with the people who could run for President ,, the YANKEES were going to make more money in business
and the Southerners the ones who could be national political candidates could make more money in politics

Making my way through L&ISVU... The backwards South storylines after adding a detective from Atlanta are just extra cringy.

I disagree. Washington was a bit of an unwilling participant, while Jefferson, Madison, and Monroe were well versed in political/government philosophy and very like-minded, just carrying much of their life’s work to its logical end. Jackson was a completely different breed, and is likely the closest fit to your description.

I'll agree on Washington because he was Washington and it was different
and Jefferson certainly did have an ideology but a lot of it was economic and he and his allies benefited
But Madison Napolionic wars and Monroe the economy was booming and he made his deal with Northerners
tried to monetize their presidency for allies
obviously politics and money had a stylized difference in their time

The stereotype absolutely still exists. I manage people in Florida, Chicago, Alabama, India, Philippines, Texas, California.
It chaps upper level managements arse every year that the 3 Alabama resources I have with southern accents are consistently the highest performers. it's a fight every year to get them the merit increases they deserve.
Ignoring the fact that they attempt to cater to people from India (tech industry).

2 of the most miserable people I've ever worked with were from the northeast. They work and live down here now because of marriage, and to them, we're stupid, uneducated, lazy, can't do anything right, don't want to do anything right.
I'm listening to them and just thinking - your wife is from here, her parents are from here, your parents will likely move here soon because it's cheaper and the weather is better. Stop being a fricking pussy and adapt.
I also used to work for a company with management out of Chicago. My god, they hated us. Everybody in my office quit within a year of that management organization acquiring us.
