Likely one of their dates who was horrified by the situation. If I had to take a guess, they've sung this song several dozen times in the confines of their fraternity, and were just dumb and drunk enough to do it in front of 50 girls, some of which may have gone somewhat reluctantly. A chick who was horrified by the situation has nothing to lose, aside from maybe her date and any friends that were dating actives.

it's easy when it's this example
but this example becoming the bright line rule opens up pandora's box. it's easy to make flash decision making when given an example such at the one these dumbfricks presented. what happens when it's a video of somebody calling something gay? or saying that we are born a particular sex and gender roles flow from that sex? or you say you got gyp'd and a gypsy takes offense? or you're accused of saying a "coded" word, which is as expansive as the imagination of a person can be?

I do think the chapter should be reprimanded which they were, but I don't not think think it should have resulted in expulsion.

First of all it seems like we are all in a race to out outrage everyone else so that we can make ourselves look better, and tell ourselves that we have righted a social injustice. Sometimes we are even creating an injustice that we can right. This is garbage. What these kids did was wrong but expelling them was the definition of an overreaction. Until the double standard is honestly looked at and discussed, issues like this will continue to grab headlines and nothing will change. Have a great day and God Bless America

Nahhh, pretty easy to label what they were singing as hate speech. Creates a hostile learning environment on public school grounds. Easy. Most schools honor codes have something for this too.
