re: Crucial job decision to make tomorrow *update page 5
Posted by never forget on 10/22/15 at 8:35 am to DollaChoppa
Here are a few questions I would like to try to answer, if this was me. Do you think your new boss will be there long? Do you think that you will get recruited again or have a shot of getting another job this easy again? Will this new job offer an opportunity to advance? What is the cost of living comparison? Will your wife be able to find a job? How secure is this new job?
Some people tend to put their primary focus on the almighty dollar. Odds are that this will provide temporary happiness, but you will never be truly satisfied. So please don't let money be your primary focus. If you could live comfortably on the salary that the new job offers, I would take the new job.

The only time I take a bath is after a long run or a race. It's always filled with ice and I take a hot shower immediately after.

If I remember correctly Ray Wright had 2 great catches that game. The one where he robbed the homerun and the one where he made a charging dive to catch a shallow line drive that should have dropped in for a base hit.

We are planning on making the trip. Away games are always a lot of fun and many life long memories were made on trips to Seattle, Morgantown, and even the riots in Blacksburg.

I saw this movie tonight with the wife. Looking at the cast I had hopes that this would be a tolerable chick flick. Awful wouldn't begin to describe how bad this movie was. Without giving away spoilers, I felt that this movie had a liberal undertone in it by who the bad guy was. Don't waste your money.

You don't have much personal experience with drugs, do you?
My experience has nothing to do with this. Are you disputing my comment that a person on drugs may act erratically and could injure themselves? I'm not saying that this happened or was even probable, but it is possible and should not be ruled out until proven otherwise. As far as I know this narrative hasn't been floated yet, but this would give a possible explanation to the witnesses account that he was trying to injure himself.

Heroin? frick no.
one of the effects of certain Narcotics is the inability to feel pain or for the feeling of pain to be reduced. I'm not saying that he was on drugs, because I don't know. I'm just saying that a person on certain drugs may act erratically, and may be capable of injuring themselves. Just watch an episode of Cops and you will see several examples. Looking at his supposed arrest record, we see that he does have a history with narcotics. So again, not saying he was on drugs, but lets wait until the results come back before we take this possibility off the table.

Drugs. I am interested to see the tox report and autopsy.

What the cops need to do is borrow that LRAD truck that was used in Ferguson and just wait until daylight and drive it through the city all day long making sure the these looters don't get any sleep.

From what I read, the family wanted to do something else. My question is that if this is true why not sell the store. Tyger Gifts is a landmark and I haven't been this upset since Pancho's closed. No not that new garbage they called Pancho's on Airline, the old one on Vets.
Tyger Gifts in Metairie is closing on Friday

I used to love going to this store as a kid.
re: OU Racism Update: 2 students expelled over Racist Video
Posted by never forget on 3/10/15 at 12:54 pm to TheBoo
First of all it seems like we are all in a race to out outrage everyone else so that we can make ourselves look better, and tell ourselves that we have righted a social injustice. Sometimes we are even creating an injustice that we can right. This is garbage. What these kids did was wrong but expelling them was the definition of an overreaction. Until the double standard is honestly looked at and discussed, issues like this will continue to grab headlines and nothing will change. Have a great day and God Bless America :usa:

Consider the nursing field. The wife is a Nurse Practitioner and makes more than I do. I also have a buddy that is doing travel nursing with his wife. They are both young and don't have kids, so they are picking up contracts on the west coast and living the dream.

I wish LSU scheduled more road games like this. Was bummed when Colorado game got tossed. A road trip to NYC, Chicago, Vegas or San Diego would be awesome too.
This is the way it was meant to be. The neutral site games suck and need to end. I'm really looking forward to the Wisconsin game in 2016. I wish it was at Camp Randall, but Lambeau isn't a place. Some great memories were made on the trips to Blacksburg, Seattle, and Morgantown.
