Any reason not to get one?

It depends on the style of house and the rest of your appliances.

Don't get me started on porcelain kitchen sinks. I could go on all day.

Because if a heavy arse pot slips out of your hands while washing it, there’s a decent chance you end up with 2 halves of a porcelain sink.

We have had one 10 years, metal grate in the bottom of the sink, no chips in it yet

You juggle heavy pots over the sink often?

I had a porcelain kitchen sink for 13 years and with kids in the house.

Zero problems, it looked as good at the end as in the beginning.

Porcelain doesn’t go with all countertops or cabinetry.

Porcelain sinks and tubs have been used for probably 300 years without issue....if you like the look, then go for it.

You know a porcelain sink is a cast iron sink with a porcelain glaze right?

We have this Kohler version in the camp (though it has more black in person) with absolute black granite and a similar color stained cabinets. I absolutely love it, easy to clean and no scratches.

Stainless steel. Lots of things react to soap and stainless steel to remove odor. Can’t get that smell of gas off your hands, lather in dish soap and rub your hands on the stain steel and it’s gone. Works for shrimp, garlic, fish, onions etc.

Or you can just buy a stainless steel odor removing bar on Amazon.
