In places like FL the repair companies will pay you and come out to your place

youre not in the wrong for having to work but the way you told your wife comes off as really shitty

Replacing a windshield is as far low on the hierarchy of important shite to do as I can think of. You should've lined her out a week ago when she thought of scheduling the replacement a week in advance. It sounds like there are other issues that need to be addressed before things get better. The windshield was just the tipping point.

No, you're not wrong, things happen with work sometimes. By why do you have to go with her to get a windshield replaced? Does she act helpless all the time?

You put your work before your family. Then you started cursing at your wife. You sound like a great husband.

If it has to be changed, tell her to sit there and wait. It usually takes like 30-1hr
Posted on 5/19/16 at 8:52 pm to kwalt1989
They come to you. This shouldn't have even been an argument.

Most depressing thread of my life.

OT's Opinion - Am I Wrong?
You are wrong for a couple of reasons:
1. You should have known enough to tell your wife that windshield repair people can come to your house.
2. She told you a week ahead of time. You couldn't have told your client "Thursday might be tough, how about Friday"?
3. She's a woman. Even when they are wrong, they are right.
Women see things like your taking her to get her windshield fixed as a bonding experience since it's something you are sharing together. In one swoop you told her that her schedule is irrelevant to you and something along the lines of you would rather leave town than spend time with her (I'm not saying it's right, it's just what is).
I hope the check you get from this job is big enough to calm her ruffled feathers. :prayerssent:
