I’ve got my method of peeling the first 2 scales off and just biting the meat with my teeth and pulling it out and eating it that I’m not going to try and learn another method. My method is fast and effective

What about the little black thingy?

With my method you can remove it easily while you still have the body in your left hand. I do when I’m picking after everyone’s finished. I’ll pick the remaining pile so we can clean up and be done.

I forgot to mention...one of the pros of using this method pulls the turd line out on it's own most of the time...though I'm not sure why. Maybe the pushing in loosens it up and allows it to be pulled out easier with the shell of the tail when you pinch and pull the meat out.

Pushing the tail in leaves a ring or two on the head which impairs sucking the head. No good.
Just peel the entire tail off and without peeling the first ring apply gentle pressure with your teeth to the exposed meat and pull out from the shell. Not difficult at all.

It doesn't for me.

I'll give it another shot, but can never seem to consistently get all the meat out, especially with smaller crawfish which leave a small area of exposed meat to pull.

People make shite complicated when it doesn't have to be. If the crawfish are cooked properly you just slighty squeeze the head, pull the tail, pinch the bottom, pull the meat with your teeth then suck the head..................... just like YOUR MOTHER!!!!

You just aren’t coordinated enough to do it. Worked just fine last night.

You suck the head after eating the tail?
Posted on 3/19/19 at 3:33 pm to SUB
Push In.
Twist.
Pull out.
Suck.
Eat tail.
All in one motion.
Edit. You could use this with your SO too

Yeah. I think it's a dominant hand thing. I always have the head in my left and the tail in my right and the right always goes first.

My peel game is strong. My hands look like I’m dealing blackjack in Vegas. It’s that smooth.

I break where the tail meets the thorax and then a couple of scales back in a quick motion. That generally leaves the perfect amount of meat to bite with a pinch.
