Other Ways of Peeling Crawfish

Admins please move to F&D board.
I know, I know. Another crawfish thread. One thing that I find odd is how so many Cajuns aren't aware of what I consider the best method of peeling crawfish. Most pull the tail straight off, peel off the first set of scales, then pinch and pull the meat out with finger or teeth. Some people can get the meat out without peeling the first set of scales off, but I've never been that and getting all the meat out using that method.
The "other" method is shown pretty well in this video. Instead of pulling the tail straight off, push it into the body cavity just past the first scale or two on the tail, then use the edges of the body cavity to peel off the first (and sometimes second) scale off the tail by twisting the tail while it is in there. You will feel scales catch and separate if done right. Pull the tail out, and the first scale or two stays attached to the body, leaving no need to peel scales as there is a lot more meat to grab. You can still easily suck the head with the scales attached, if that's your thing.
Any thoughts? I know a lot of people are set in their ways, but this method made it much easier to eat one of my favorite foods. When a friend's dad showed me this when I was about 13, I was blown away and never could go back to the old method.

I’ve got my method down and I’ll be damned if anyone is going to try to convince me otherwise.

You’re doing it wrong. You put your thumb underneath the tail, and push up, where the first rung of tail goes above the carapace, then you push in...breaking the first two (usually) rungs. Pull out and eat while you pinch the bottom of the tail. I’ve shown countless people this, but they usually look at me, and my pile of crawfish with two rungs still attached, like an alien.

First method and if you do it any other way you're a cuck

That's exactly how I do it and how the guy on the video does it...I mean, unless you don't twist after pushing in.

My only method is not to take my contacts out or masturbate after eating crawfish.

the guy in the video doesn't twist either, but pulls it out to the side so maybe that does the trick. Maybe I just twist because it helps release the tail from the body.

My next thread will be explaining what a "hot pocket" is.

That method is not as good for sucking the head

His hands were in the damn way.

You’re correct, but it’s better for pulling the fat and everything out in one shot.

Maybe, but I don't notice a difference.
