If you're looking for inexpensive lighting, these two options work well.
400 lumen lantern $6.99
Two pack - 700 lumen flashlights $19.99

This is a cheap option. Buy a good 18650 battery to go with it (i.e. namebrand, as in Panasonic, etc.) I was shining this one from 28 floors up few weeks ago and a drunk on the balcony next to me hollered "that's a bright-arse light."
If you want to go namebrand and spend some money, look at Nitecore. This one has a micro-usb charging port, which is convenient for carrying in a vehicle: LINK
And get a good headlamp while you're at it. Essential for changing tires, cleaning fish, deer, etc.

I have it, and it's a monster with 4 square leds. It's the best light I've ever owned, and I use it at work regularly for masonry and caisson inspections.

I just picked up one of these on Prime Day. For a single LED light, it's pretty damn bright. It also comes with the rechargeable battery and usb cable. ANKER is a very well known quality brand.

I was just coming to post the Anker 900. I love that it is rechargeable.

With the OT, he didn't want it to be confused with FLESH light.

I'm a recovering flashlightaholic, used to have a ton of nice ones (Streamlight, Surefire, Fenix, Peak, ARC, HDS, etc.). It's hard to believe there are so many inexpensive regulated bright as hell flashlights these days, you almost can't go wrong. Having said that, I'm very impressed with this 4-AAA model I've purchased multiple times (two to keep, others for inexpensive gifts) from Amazon.

Spend the money and get a rechargeable streamlight stinger.
I don't regret buying one, and neither would you.
