Flood Warning thru 8/14/2019?

Can someone explain why we have this high % of rain for over 2 damn weeks?

It’s summer. We’re in a sub-tropical climate.

The Mississippi River is forecast to be above flood stage until then. It has nothing to do with rain in our forecast.

That central usa rain is coming downstream now.

I'm aware of this and the warnings for those are worded different than the latest.

I'm also aware Thunderstorms pop up in La Summers.

But 70% and higher for that many days isn't "normal" La weather.

Got a upper shortwave setting up near us middle of next week. Enhances rain chances in the afternoons but isn't some organized system. Typical afternoon heating + seabreeze boundaries that form up our afternoon storms getting a little kick from the upper levels to enhance the process.

In short, don't worry about it too much. The flood warnings are definitely for the Mississippi River.

That’s when it’s projected to be below flood stage.

You need us to show you the ABCs next or how about we count to 10 for you? Maybe we can get you a color wheel and show you how colors work?
