Precious metals make jewelry desirable, but not watches...not at least for me. If that two toned bracelet looks good to you I don't know what to say. IDGAF of people have money...that looks terrible.

Got a seiko 6139 handed down to me last week. July 1971 All original besides the strap. All in working order. I am dropping it off next Saturday for a cleaning and service. Looking for a new band as well. Maybe leather. Something different than this one and a H link style. I really do like this watch

To each his own and all that but your taste is "out there" as we have all seen over the years.

Yep, a fat brown leather strap would look good on that.

That bracelet in the pic isn’t pic isn’t two-toned, if you’re referring to that pic. If you’re referring to the “classic” two-toned jubilee bracelet that is typically seen on a Datejust, that definitely isn’t for me. But, Rolex has a ton of other options in stainless steel that are conservative and good looking. The Submariner, GMT Master II, Explorer, Oyster Perpetual, etc all come in stainless and are pretty conservative and stylish.
Rolex really only makes weird variations (like the one in the pic) with precious metals, their “normal” lineup isn’t like that.

Wouldn't the Platinum get beat up

I can't help it if I'm right. Obviously everything I say is my opinion, there should be a button on the right where I can embed everything I type into a IMO Markup.

Yea, I don’t think anyone is walking around with a Platinum Daytona as their daily wear

Uh, what? Both the color, metal (I assume), and texture is different.

Looks beautiful but for $50k would want to wear all the time lol

Nornallly the two metals are carried throughout case and dial to tie it together. It's not my thing, but you can do it better than that.

It’s platinum, it’s both brushed and polished but it’s not two-toned.

People knighting for an ugly watch.

Knighting for Rolex “style”, not that watch in particular. That watch is obviously an outlier, as it’s a platinum watch, not a ‘typical’ Rolex.

It's almost a submariner.

Nice watch. Tell us about your trip

Looks like a Rolex submariner homage, in which case you could have gotten a similar one for less money. I would do ton of research before sinking 765 into a watch. Basically I’d have to be eyeing the watch for years to justify that kind of money.
I’ve recently gotten into watch collecting and after doing some research and learning very basic mods (replacing straps, setting time, lol) and I have been very satisfied with watches all costing less than 75 dollars.
