As a Navy veteran stfu. We don't know this man's situation and if it deals with the government it wouldn't surprise if they are trying to boot this man before he reaches 20 years.

I agree with you that too many veterans leech off the system when they haven't done jack shite to deserve it. They even teach you to file claims at TRS and other transition classes.

With that being said however, this thread is not the place to discuss such matters. Stop being a jaded bitch and start your own thread about it if it bothers you that much. JFC

Alright, I figured it out... I get the same retirement if I make it 20 years whether it's a longevity retirement or chapter 61 retirement.

Just gotta make it to 20, otherwise I'll lose about $1200 a month in benefits.

You'd better double-check your conclusion with some S-1 types who work in "Transition Assistance" or whatever they call it, then go to JAG to get them to make sure that S-1 has read the regs correctly.

Ask Lakeboy to help. He's a JAG.

Be VERY careful with Tricare man.

Most retirees (medical and otherwise) were forced to Tricare Standard.... Prime removed a number of providers in our area (Louisiana)

Also,
Apologies for the other Navy guy. You don't deserve that

Furthermore,
To the guy that said Navy sees no combat... You have no God Damned idea what you are talking about. There are numerous jobs in the Navy that have seen combat.
