I grabbed the wrong empty gas can that still had a heel of diesel (a few ounces). I put 5 gallons in it.

This should be ok to run in my mower

It's like oil so you should be fine.

If not, I don't know what I'm saying. I slept at a Marriott last night.

It should supercharge your engine. You can probably use your mower to tow a bulldozer now.

Put about 1 cup of white granulated sugar in the tank to counter the effects of the diesel.

Put a cup of water to dilute the diesel down to gasoline levels

Only thing that may happen is that your mower exhaust will smoke a little if at all.

If those don't work then drink some vodka and then urinate in your fuel tank.

You should already be doing this, at a minimum. To deal with the diesel you should drain the oil and run it with just the gas/diesel/sugar/water/vodka-piss in the tank. The gas will run it, the diesel will lubricate it, the sugar will boost the diesel's octane, the water will keep it from overheating, and the vodka-piss will mean you drank enough to think this was all a good idea.

This small amount of diesel must be counteracted with 2 stroke engine oil. Pour in at 50:1 ratio. Then to homogenize and stabilize the mixture add 1 can of sea foam. Then you can use it.

Nope do not do it.
Find your fuel filter.
Unhook the fuel filter from
fuel line and drain tank.
Replace fuel filter with new one and fuel line.

Seen 6 over 10 yrs come in my shop for either people putting diesel or 2 - stroke fuel in the fuel tank. Best one was purple gatoraide in the tank.

Yeah he’s fine it’s the slow time at the shops in non snow markets. Lol!

Small drops of diesel mixed with gas won’t hurt it. If it a decent amount 1/4 of gallon or more, no unless you want your mechanic to have a nice Xmas.

These idiots on here are not the ones paying the bill for your engine.
